LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The Loyola Marymount University men's basketball team is set to make the 11 mile journey to Westwood on Sunday with an 8-0 record on the season and a 56-point win their last time out. The Bruins (5-2) are also coming off a double-digit victory prior to Sunday's 7 p.m. showdown airing nationally on Pac-12 Network.

The two teams have not faced one another since LMU's season-opening 11- 11-11 victory over the Bruins. The game was played at the LA Sports Arena, while Pauley Pavilion was undergoing renovations, with the Lions winning 69-58.

This year's LMU team showed its depth on Thursday night with all 13 players scoring and playing 10 or more minutes in the win. LMU hit 44 field goals as part of a 106-point output en route to the highest scoring total since 2012.

Five Lions scored in double-digits for the first time this season in the win over Bethesda with Jordan Bell and Ivan Alipiev leading with 16 and 15 points apiece, respectively.

Despite surpassing the 100-point plateau, LMU's defense has been the team's identity this season. The Lions rank eighth nationally in scoring defense, limiting teams to 56.5 points per game. Bethesda shot 28.8 percent from the field against LMU this week.

At 79.5 percent from the charity stripe, LMU is also a top-10 team in free throw shooting. The Lions rank seventh in Division I and are led by James Batemon's 53 made free throws, third-most in the NCAA.

The game can be seen on Pac-12 Network or streamed online through the link above. Tickets for entrance into Pauley Pavilion are still available.
