LOS ANGELES – Following two straight wins against Pac-12 opponents to begin the 2018-19 season, the LMU women's basketball team (2-0) will return to the road for a Monday night game at UC Santa Barbara. The Lions and Gauchos will square off at 7 p.m. at The Thunderdome.
The Lions most recently took down Arizona 66-64 in their road opener last Tuesday after opening at home with a huge win over No. 23 UCLA (69-63) on Nov. 6.

Gabby Green paced the Lions in their win over the Bruins, posting 25 points with eight boards, four assists and four steals. Green missed the game at Arizona due to an injury, and sophomore
Jasmine Jones stepped up in a major way in her absence. Jones tallied a career-high 19 points on 6-of-9 shooting to go along with eight boards and two steals. Senior
Bree Alford showed all-out hustle for LMU in the win, grabbing a game-high 13 rebounds with eight points.
UCSB has started the season with a 0-3 record, falling to Utah Valley, Cal State Bakersfield and USC so far. They are averaging 47.0 points per game as a team while giving up an average of 67.0.
Following Monday night's game vs. the Gauchos, LMU will host its annual Thanksgiving Classic this weekend, hosting Northern Arizona, Robert Morris and SMU Nov. 23-24.
