LOS ANGELES – Four LMU men's soccer players have earned 2018 All-WCC recognition, the West Coast Conference office announced this afternoon. Senior
Antonio Porreco was named to the All-WCC Second Team while sophomore
Gerardo Lopez earned All-WCC Honorable Mention and a pair of freshmen,
CJ Neville and
Jack Sauls, were selected to the WCC All-Freshman Team.

In his final season at LMU, Porreco was the Lions' assist leader, dishing out six through 18 games. He also scored two goals for LMU, finishing with 10 total points. The senior played 1,118 minutes in 2018.

Lopez anchored the Lions' defense on the season and played the second-most minutes on the team at 1,502. The sophomore started in all 17 of his games played and had one assist while taking eight shots.

Neville and Sauls strongly progressed toward the end of the season as they gained more experience at the collegiate level. Sauls was the team's second-highest goal scorer, finishing with four. He racked up eight total points in 575 minutes during his freshman campaign. Sauls appeared in 15 games with five starts in 2018.

Neville also tallied eight points this season with three goals and two assists. He played in 14 games with 10 starts and logged 662 total minutes.

The Lions finished with a 6-12 overall record and a 3-3 mark in WCC play in 2018.
