LOS ANGELES – After a season-long five-game road stretch, the LMU men's soccer team (5-9, 2-1 WCC) returns home this weekend, taking on Pacific (8-3-2, 2-1 WCC) on Friday night at 7 p.m. and Saint Mary's (14-0, 3-0 WCC) on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m.
The Lions went 3-2 during their road stretch, earning wins at New Mexico, Santa Clara and Gonzaga and falling to two nationally-ranked teams, No. 15 Portland and No. 18 UCLA. LMU has won four of its last six contests including a big win over CSUN. The Lions have not had a home game since September 27 when they fell to Cal State Fullerton, 1-0.
Sophomore
Kris Fourcand leads LMU in scoring and total points on the season with four goals and nine points. Senior
Antonio Porreco is the Lions' leading assist leader with four. He also has one goal and six points in 2018. LMU goalkeeper
Paul Lewis has a record of 5-8 with 52 total saves and a save percentage of .667.
Camden Riley leads the Tigers in scoring in 2018 with six goals to go along with three assists to total 15 points. Pacific has only lost one out of its last nine games, coming up with six wins and two ties over this stretch. They are currently ranked No. 34 in the nation.
Saint Mary's is one of just three undefeated teams in the 2018 NCAA Division I men's soccer season. With their record of 14-0, the Gaels are ranked No. 7 in the nation. Jake Rudel is Saint Mary's leading goal scorer with 12 through their first 14 games. Rudel also has three assists and leads the Gaels in total points with 27.
The Lions will have two more home games following this weekend's matches to conclude the 2018 season. The next match will be on Sunday, Nov. 4 vs. San Diego and the following is on Saturday, Nov. 10.
