SEATTLE WA- LMU finished the Pacific Northwest road trip Sunday at the University of Washington. Despite again making seven saves in goal, Collin Partee, and the Lions squad could not overcome a pair of late second half goals. LMU eventually dropped the match 2-0 to the Huskies.

The setback puts the Lions at an 0-2-0 record on the young season. Despite a 15-5 shot differential in Washington's favor, LMU held the game scoreless until the 76th minute when Washington found the back of the net. Shortly there after the Huskies were able to add a final goal on a breakaway run just after the 82 minute mark, making it a 2-0 match.

The Lions come home next week for the first time this season. The home opener will take place Friday, September 1st at 7pm against UNC Asheville. The Lions will be back on Smith Field Sunday to take on Penn State at 4pm. Both Friday and Sunday's games will be a double header with Women's Soccer.
