Dotseth Named WCC Postgraduate Scholarship Winner

The 2017 West Coast Conference Postgraduate Scholarship award winners were recognized at the WCC Honors Dinner last week in Redondo Beach. Mark Dotseth was named the Male Postgraduate Scholarship winner, while University of Portland cross country student-athlete Anna Farello was named the Female Postgraduate Scholarship winner.



Dotseth is the first Lion to garner the award since it originated in 2004. A two-year team captain he was the heart of the Lions defense for the past 4 years. In December, Dotseth graduated with a degree in Biology and held a 3.7 GPA. Throughout his career at LMU Dotseth was named to the WCC All- Freshman team in 2013, the same year the Men's Soccer team won the WCC title and earned a NCAA tournament berth. He was WCC All- Academic first team in 2014, 2015, and 2016. A two-year team captain he was the heart of the Lions defense for the past 4 years.

To be eligible for a WCC Postgraduate Scholarship, a student-athlete must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25, demonstrate significant athletic contributions to his or her sport for a minimum of two years, and have a record of participation in campus or community activities. He or she also must submit a personal statement of intention to attend graduate or professional school for which this scholarship would be awarded.
