April 23, 2017 Final Stats
Stockton, Calif. - On the last road trip of the season, the LMU softball team finished the weekend up north with a single game today against Pacific. With just four hits in the game the Lions couldn't overcome Tigers lead and dropped the game 5-1. The Lions sit at 16-29 overall with a 2-7 West Coast Conference record.
Amanda Dirks score the only Lions run of the day on her solo home run to left field. At the time LMU was down 4-0 in the 6th, with two outs and one swing Dirks put LMU on the board. However, it wasn't enough to kick start the offense. Three other Lions finished with a hit, Taylor Lockwood was 1-for-2, Alex Finie and Brooke Christensen were both 1-for-3.
Freshman Maddie Rawl got her second start of the season, she is now 0-2. In 3.2 innings Rawl let up 7 hits, 4 runs and 3 walks. Senior Andy Wellins came in to finish the game pitching 2.1 innings letting up only 2 hits and 1 run.
LMU is home next weekend taking on Saint Mary's starting April 29th.
