SPOKANE, Wash. â€" For the first time this season, the Loyola Marymount men's tennis team has won back-to-back West Coast Conference matches. The Lions (7-14, 3-5 WCC) took care of Gonzaga (6-12, 0-8 WCC), 4-2, on Friday afternoon.

LMU took the doubles point after winning on Courts 1 and 3, 6-3 and 6-4, respectively. Court 2 remained unfinished.

Singles wins by Max Kaiser and Lukas Moenter pushed the LMU lead to 3-0 before the Bulldogs got on the board. After Gonzaga pulled off wins on Courts 3 and 1, Gabriel Diaz Freire closed out the match with his 7-6 (7-5), 7-5 victory.

LMU closes out the season Saturday at Portland against a Pilots team fighting for a conference title. The match will begin at 1 p.m.
