Los Angeles, Calif. - The LMU softball team dropped to 8-11 overall, with the setback against Boise State today. Alex Finie and Katie Manley were the lone Lions to get hits.
Senior Andy Wellins threw 7 complete innings and had 4 strikeouts on the game. Wellins has an overall season record of 2-5.
Boise State got hold of a pitch which resulted in a homerun to get them on the board in the 3rd. LMU couldn't find their stride and Boise State chipped away increasing their lead to 5-0 by the end of the game.
Senior first basemen, Alex Finie finished 1-for-3 on the day. Freshman catcher, Katie Manley pinch hit, finishing the day 1- for 1.
LMU hits the field for the final time this weekend, tomorrow against North Dakota at 8:30am and #5 Arizona at 11am.
