ITA Southwest Regional Tournament Central

The LMU men's tennis team had a player reach the main draw quarterfinal and a consolation quarterfinal, but the runs ended there on Saturday afternoon from the ITA Southwest Regional hosted by Pepperdine in Malibu, Calif.

Gabriel Diaz Freire reached the quarterfinal round of the main draw, but dropped a 6-4, 6-4 decision to Arizona's Alejandro Reguant-Bicardi.

After defeating Matias Sborowitz of Pepperdine, 3-6, 7-5, 10-8 in the consolation round of 16, Max Kaiser advanced to face Jonas Maier (Arizona). There, Kaiser dropped the decision, 7-6 (2), 4-6, 10-4.

Ethan Prost and Nick Borchenko also competed in the singles consolation round of 16, but both players dropped a decision to end their run at the tournament.
