SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Following Friday's upset of No. 12 St. Francis, Loyola Marymount was unable to follow-up with wins against ranked Brown and Bucknell in the second day of the Julian Fraser Memorial Tournament.
Game 1: #19 Brown 11, LMU 9 (OT) | Box Score
The Lions led 4-3 after the first quarter, but Brown evened the score in the second to make it a 5-5 game at the half. After Brown held a 9-7 lead in the fourth, LMU scored the final two goals of regulation to force overtime. Joseph Shaw finished with a game-high four goals.
Game 2: #16 Bucknell 13, LMU 8 | Box Score
Bucknell never trailed in the game, after jumping out to a 3-0 lead in the second quarter. LMU pulled within one with 3:27 to play before the half, but was unable to even the score. Three Lions finished with a pair of goals, with Matt Braun, Austin Clark, and Nicolaus Rimlinger each scoring two.
The Lions close out the tournament Sunday, with a 1 p.m. matchup with San Jose State.
