LOS ANGELES - The LMU men's soccer team will host its final non-conference match of the season as it takes on CSU Bakersfield Sunday, Sept. 18 at 4 p.m.

Sophomore Matt Gooden broke a scoreless contest in the 67th minute to lift the LMU men's soccer team past UC Irvine, 1-0, Wednesday night at Anteater Stadium.

Follow The Leader
Colin Partee has been impressive in net to start the season as he leads the conference in saves (40), shutouts (3) and ranks second with a 0.70 goals against average.
Among national ranks, Partee ranks second in saves, 9th in saves per game (5.71) and 11th in goals against average.
Across The Board
LMU has been evenly spread this season as all seven goals have come from different Lions, and Lucky Puengrod, Sarkis Shaginian, Matt Gooden and Sahid Conteh have each tallied their first-career goals.
Instant Impact
Sunday's contest with UC Davis marked the first time two freshmen tabbed scores since Sept. 20, 2013, when Mark Dotseth and Adrien Perez each snapped a goal in a 4-0 shutout of Sacramento State.
Clocking In
Mark Dotseth, Collin Partee and Cole Souza are the only members of the Lions who have been on the field every minute so far. Dotseth and Souza logged the most minutes on the team a season ago as Souza played every minute possible (1,626) while Dotseth ranked second with 1,559.

Scouting UC Irvine
The 'Runners stand at 1-5-0 to start the season and have dropped their last five contests in one-score decisions.
Huge Vinales leads the team with six points and tabbed each of his scores in CSU Bakersfield's last contest, a 3-2 overtime defeat to UC Davis Thursday night. Julian Zamora has also netted a pair, while Nicolas Clever has played every minute in net.
The Series
LMU has gotten the upper hand in the all-time series dating back to 1982, besting the CSU Bakersfield three out of four times and have outscored the 'Runners, 10-3. Sunday's match will mark the first meeting since 2009, when the Lions dropped their only game to CSU Bakersfield with a 1-0 loss on the road.
