LOS ANGELES -- Behind a pair of goals from freshman Phoebe Riley, the LMU women's soccer team exploded for four second half goals to cruise past CSU Bakersfield, 4-1, Sunday afternoon at Sullivan Field.

Riley made a statement on her Sullivan Field debut, netting two goals in a two-minute span as the Lions overmatched the `Runners in the final 45 minutes of action before an own goal with four seconds to go put CSU Bakersfield on the board.

LMU pressed CSU Bakersfield the entire first half, controlling possession and out shot the `Runners, 9-3, with seven of those shots coming in the opening 20 minutes, but was unable to find the back of the net.

Sarah Sanger would change all that as she ignited the Lions offense with a goal 13 minutes into the second frame, heading one just inside the right post on a cross from Jill Farley.

From there, Riley took over the game, firing in a rebound from inside the box 63 minutes into action before striking again from inside the box two minutes later, drilling a lose ball into the back of the net.

Tatyanna Lewis capped the scoring onslaught in style, arching a shot from well outside the 18 that landed just beneath the crossbar for the Lions fourth score in a 15-minute span.

CSU Bakersfield got on the board with four seconds to go, scoring off an own goal on a misplayed clear attempt from inside the six.
