LOS ANGELES - Set to enter his 19th season at the helm of the LMU men's soccer program this coming fall, Head Coach Paul Krumpe keeps expectations high with the welcome addition of eight new faces making uptake Lions' 2016 recruiting class.

"This recruiting class is potentially the best in LMU history," said Krumpe of the collective group. "We already return a deep and talented group for next years' campaign, but we are thrilled with this class which is loaded with goal scorers, big and powerful defenders and explosive wingers. This Lion recruiting class has the potential to push LMU into the upper echelon of Division I programs. Each member of this class brings athleticism, explosiveness, technical ability and a focus which will prove beneficial during their tenure here."

The eight-member class, set to fill the void left by seven graduating seniors, features six California natives, one from Washington and one from Tennessee. The group's vast experience on their prep teams, Academies and ODP brings great foundation to the two-time West Coast Conference championship Lions.

Garrett Amador, Defender/Midfielder, Servite High School, Strikers FC Academy
Three-year letterwinner... led Servite High School to three consecutive Trinity League championships from 2014-16... CIF Semifinals in 2014... CIF Champions and State finalist in 2015... ODP National Team Market Training Center in 2014.

Coach Krumpe on Amador: Powerful, dynamic winger who may also develop as a left back. Garrett can bulldoze his way through defenses with the ability to score from distance. Plays like a cross between recent LMU left back Luc Brubaker and former LMU captain Philip Arias."

Coach Krumpe on Conteh: Explosive and strong winger/forward. Has ability to break down defenses on the dribble or to get behind with tremendous speed with his runs. Strong on the ball with a powerful shot from distance to complement a soft touch and quickness in the box. LMU has never had a player blessed with his explosiveness and athleticism."

Coach Krumpe on Dauchot: Big, burly centerback with great athleticism who is dominant in the air. Nick plays like a hybrid of LMU great centerback's Matt Kovar and Craig Nitti. Tough on the tackle, dominant in the air and capable of serving quality passes within the midfield and beyond."

Aggressive, dynamic and composed demeanor will fit in perfectly with our LMU system. Contains characteristics much like Lion greats Artur Jozkowicz and Sean Sears."
