LOS ANGELES - With three remaining WCC games on the road, the LMU men's soccer team will seek to rise in the conference standings this weekend with a pair of contests at Portland and Gonzaga. The Lions will open the weekend off Friday against the Pilots at 7 p.m. and wrap-up action at Gonzaga on Sunday with a 1 p.m. match.
Last Time Out
Freshman Garrett Amador provided the late-game heroics once again for the Lions, netting the golden goal just under six minutes into overtime to boost LMU past Saint Mary's, 2-1, Oct. 16 at Sullivan Field.

WCC Honors
Following a two-goal weekend, Garrett Amador was named the West Coast Conference Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 17.
Amador scored in each of LMU's contests against Pacific and Saint Mary's last weekend, delivering the game-tying goal with 41 seconds left in regulation against the Tigers, and followed by heading in the golden goal just 5:49 into overtime against the Gaels.
The freshman is now tied for the team-lead with two goals, and is the only defender on the team to have scored twice on the year.
Making Marks
After snapping his second goal of the season against SJSU, Adrien Perez moved into a tie for fourth on the all-time career points list with 53. Perez is also moving up the points per game list with 0.96 ppg, good for third all-time.

Follow The Leader
Colin Partee has been impressive in net this season as he leads the conference in saves (66), saves per game (4.71), shutouts (4) and ranks third in second save percentage (.786).
Snapping the Streak
The Lions win over then-No. 17 UCSB on Sept. 21 marked the first time since 2010 LMU has downed a ranked opponent, breaking a nine-game losing streak. The Lions previous victory over a ranked foe came in a 3-2 decision over then-No. 25 Portland Oct. 10, 2010.
Keep it Coming
LMU matched its highest scoring output against a ranked oppoent with four scores against UCSB, matching its highest scoring total when the Lions blanked then-No. 2 Santa Clara, 4-0, Nov. 12, 2004.
Freshman Force
Freshmen Sahid Conteh, Lucky Puengrod and Garrett Amador are all tied for the team lead with a pair of goals this season.
The trio mark the first time LMU has had three freshmen with multiple scores in a season since Alvaro Madrigal, Grant Sampson and Griffin Bell each tallied a pair in their freshmen campaigns in 2014.
Instant Impact
LMU's match against UC Davis on Sept. 11 marked the first time two freshmen tabbed scores since Sept. 20, 2013, when Mark Dotseth and Adrien Perez each snapped a goal in a 4-0 shutout of Sacramento State.
Road Warriors
The Lions have proven up to the test on the road the past four seasons, amassing a 17-11-7 mark during that span.
Scouting Portland
Riding a five-match win streak, Portland is the lone undefeated team in conference play, boasting a 3-0-0 mark and a 9-3-1 record overall. Benji Michael leads the WCC with eight goals and Eddie Sanchez ranks third with six scores.
The Series
The Pilots have the upper hand in the all-time series, 21-14-3, though LMU has the edge most recently, coming out on top in seven of the last 10 games.

Scouting Gonzaga
After starting the season 5-0-1, the Zags have slid to 7-6-1 and stand at 1-2-0 in WCC action. Christo Michaelson leads the team with 10 points, coming on a team-best four goals and two assists.
The Series
LMU and Gonzaga are split in the series, 16-16-2, with each team accounting for 10 wins on its home turf, while three of the of the past six matches have gone into double overtime.
Up Next
The Lions will head to Santa Clara on Nov. 6 for a 1 p.m. match before closing out the season on senior day against San Francisco on Nov. 12 at 1 p.m.
