Jan. 6, 2016 LOS ANGELES - West Coast Conference play finally arrives on the LMU campus for the men's basketball team, who will host Saint Mary's on Thursday, Jan. 7 at 7 pm. The game will be the first of the conference season to feature the Lions Athletic Fund Halftime Reception and it kicks-off a month of special events for fans, alumni and families.
Members of the Lions Athletic Fund, LMU Athletics' official annual giving body that provides the resources needed for LMU Athletics to achieve the highest level of success both athletically and academically, at the $250 level or higher are given two passes to the special halftime receptions at select men's basketball home games. The game against Saint Mary's on Thursday will be the first of nine this season.
Additional halftime receptions for the month of January include Pacific on Saturday, Jan. 9, BYU on Thursday, Jan. 21 and for homecoming against San Diego on Jan. 23.
The halftime receptions are just one way to get plugged into LMU Athletics this WCC basketball season.
The LMU Alumni Association is hitting the road to join our LMU Men's Basketball team in WCC play this month, hosting special pregame events around select LMU's road games in the month of January. The events will be centered around the Lions' game at Santa Clara on Saturday, Jan. 16 and at San Diego on Saturday, Jan. 30. Alumni, parents and friends are invited to a pregame reception followed by game tickets to both of those games.

The month of January will also include the fourth annual LMU Baseball Casino Night. An evening centered around raising funds for the LMU Basketball Program Lions Athletic Fund. The evening will be held on Friday, Jan. 29 at the Doubletree Los Angeles Westside starting at 7pm. The event features a hosted beer and wine bar, hors d'oeuvres, blackjack, roulette, craps and the Texas Hold'em poker tournament. The LMU Baseball Casino Night is open to anyone interested in playing or watching, and participants do not need to be LMU alumni.
