FULLERTON, Calif. - The LMU women's soccer team had its seven-match unbeaten streak snapped Friday night, suffering a 2-0 setback at Cal State Fullerton.

The Lions, who had won six straight and remained unbeaten with a draw in their last outing, concludes non-conference action at 6-3-1. The Titans, who got off to their best start in program history with six straight wins, are now 7-1-1.

Rebecca Wilson put CSUF on the board in the 34th minute with her team-leading ninth goal of the season. Christina Burkenroad added a second first-half goal for the Titans less than two minutes before the break.

LMU finished with 11 shots, including four by leading scorer Jocelyn Blankenship. The Titans' goalkeeper Jennifer Stuart made three saves to keep the Lions off the board.

LMU returns to Sullivan Field on Friday, Oct. 2, opening West Coast Conference play against Saint Mary's.
