LION NOTES
• The Lions have won five straight, marking the longest win streak for the program since 2007. That season, they won nine straight matches and went on to finish the year 12-6-1.
• This marks the fifth time in the last six seasons that the Lions have recorded five wins in a season's first seven outings. The feat was also achieved in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2014.
• Sophomore defender Jill Farley was named WCC Player of the Week after playing all 187 minutes in a pair of LMU shutouts last week. She also scored the overtime game-winner against then No. 21/23 Long Beach State.
• LMU's 1-0 OT victory over Long Beach State marked the first win against a ranked opponent since a 3-0 shutout of then No. 15 Pepperdine on Oct. 15, 2012.
• The Lions are 2-0-0 in overtime matches this season. That mark extends their streak of remaining unbeaten in overtime to eight matches (spanning two-plus seasons). Their last overtime setback was a 1-0 final against then No. 4 BYU on Nov. 1, 2012.
• A 5-1 thumping of Detroit (Sept. 4) marked the highest scoring output for LMU since 2007 when they shutout Lamar University, 9-0.
• 10 different Lions have scored at least once through seven games this season. Seven players have at least one assist, including Shannon Kent, Jill Farley, Jocelyn Blankenship and Melissa Lewis who have two apiece.
• The home-opening win over Bucknell (Aug. 28) gave the Lions three straight home-opening victories as they also topped Northwestern, 1-0, in 2013 and New Mexico State, 3-1, in 2014.
Jocelyn Blankenship has two assists so far this season, bringing her career total to 16. That mark ranks in a tie for third in LMU's all-time record book. She is just two assists shy of the LMU career record of 18, held by Julia Gallaudet (2007-10).
• Senior midfielder Jocelyn Blankenship was named to the 2015 All-WCC Preseason Team.
• LMU was picked seventh in the West Coast Conference Preseason Coaches Poll.
• The Lions went 9-8-2 overall and 2-6-1 in WCC play last season with a young squad that featured just three seniors.
• Seniors Morgan Hilby (5g, 6a), Shannon Kent (6g) and Jocelyn Blankenship (6a) return to the pitch after leading LMU in points, goals and assists last fall.
• Ten total starters return and 15 total letterwinners while the Lions also welcome nine newcomers and four redshirts.

SERIES HISTORY VS WEBER STATE
The Lions are 2-0-0 all-time against the Weber State Wildcats. This marks the second straight year that the teams will meet following a 3-1 win for LMU at Sullivan Field last fall. The only other meeting in program history was a 2-1 overtime victory for the Lions during the 1997 season.

ABOUT THE WILDCATS
Weber State enters the week at 4-3-1 on the year. The Wildcats have played just one match on their home turf, a 2-2 double overtime draw against Colorado College on Sept. 11. Most recently, they defeated Boise State on the road, 3-2 in double overtime. Through eight matches, Chansi Crompton leads the team with two goals and three assists for seven points. Morgan Quarnberg has three goals while Mackenzie Harrison has two goals and two assists. All told, Weber State has scored 10 times while giving up 15 goals. The Wildcats return eight starters and were picked to finish fourth in the Big Sky Conference.

SERIES HISTORY VS UTAH
The Lions are unbeaten in the all-time series with Utah, hosting a 2-0-2 all-time record. The four meetings between the two programs came between 2005-10. LMU won the first meeting in 2005, 1-0, and the most recent in 2010, 2-0. The teams played to a draw in the other two meetings.

ABOUT THE UTES
Utah enters the week at 3-2-2 overall and will host Utah State on Friday prior to hosting LMU on Sunday. The Utes are unbeaten in their last two outings, earning a 2-1 win at San Diego and a 1-1 double overtime draw at Boise State. Eight different players have scored for Utah, including Mariah Elmer who has two goals. Taylor Slattery has a team-high three assists while three other players have two apiece. Lindsey Like has played the majority of the minutes in goal, making 33 saves (.825 percent) and allowing just seven goals (0.98 GAA).
