LOS ANGELES - LMU men's soccer take its national ranking on the road Friday night, making the trip through the Grape Vine to face CSU Bakersfield at 7:30 p.m. LMU returns home to Sullivan Field on Sunday, hosting New Mexico at 4 p.m. in the second match of an LMU soccer doubleheader.
The Sunday doubleheader, which beings with LMU's women versus UC Riverside at 1:30 p.m., will feature a White-Out T-Shirt Giveaway for all fans, raffle prizes for LMU Students and will feature Westchester AYSO Day at LMU Soccer.

LION NOTES
• The Lions opened the season with four straight wins for the first time in program history.
• The Lions' perfect 4-0 start has also included four consecutive shutouts, a feat unmatched in program history.
• LMU has not allowed a goal in 360 minutes played this year. The overall streak sits at 483:56 minutes, dating back to Nov. 9, 2014.
• Previously unranked this fall, the Lions came in at No. 19 in the latest TopDrawerSoccer.com Top 25, released Sept. 7. That followed with a No. 20 ranking by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, released Sept. 8.
• Paul Blanchette was named WCC Player of the Week for Sept. 7 after being credited with a pair of shutouts at Harvard and Boston College last week. The senior goalkeeper also contributed the assist on Grant Sampson's game-winner at BC, the second assist of his career.
• Paul Blanchette's shutout at Boston College on Sunday was the 15th of his career, breaking the all-time LMU record of 14, held by Jerad Bailey (1997-00).
• In just two-plus seasons, Adrien Perez is climbing the ranks of LMU's career scoring records. With 17 goals thus far, Perez ranks tied for sixth all-time at LMU. The Lion record is 46, set by Arturo Torres (1999-02). In second is Kevin Novak with 23 (2000-03).
• Sophomore Grant Sampson scored twice in the Lions 2-0 shutout of UNLV on Aug. 30 and tallied the game-winner at Boston College on Sept. 6. His three goals through four matches already surpasses his season total of two from his rookie season.
• Junior midfielder Adrien Perez was named to the 2015 All-WCC Preseason Team.
• LMU was picked fourth in the West Coast Conference Preseason Coaches Poll.
• The Lions return 16 letterwinners and nine total starters from last year's squad that went 9-4-6 overall.
• The 2014 Lions matched the program record for fewest losses, most unbeaten matches and goals against average.
• In addition to 11 newcomers, LMU also welcomes back redshirt-senior John McFarlin, who was sidelined in 2014 with a knee injury. When last on the pitch, McFarlin finished the 2013 season ranked in a tie for third nationally in assists per game (0.61) and tied for fourth with 11 total assists. • McFarlin enters the season with 18 career assists and sits three shy of the LMU record of 21, held by Arturo Torres (1999-02).
SERIES HISTORY VS CSUB
LMU and CSUB have three previous meetings in which the Lions hold a 3-1-0 edge. LMU won three straight, including a 7-1 victory in 1982, a 1-0 shutout in 1999 and a 2-1 overtime win in 2008. Bakersfield won the most recent meeting, 1-0 in Bakersfield.
ABOUT THE ROADRUNNERS
Bakersfield is 1-1-1 on the season including a 4-0 loss at Denver, a 2-1 double overtime win at UC Davis and a 1-1 double overtime draw against Sacramento State. Friday's match is the 'Runners' home opener. Brian Charles and Christian Duarte each have a goal for CSUB. Nicolas Clever has played every minute in goal, making 13 saves while holding a 1.75 GAA. The 'Runners went 10-7-5 overall and 3-5-2 in WAC play in 2014.
SERIES HISTORY VS NEW MEXICO
The Lions and Lobos have five previous meetings with New Mexico holding the 4-1-1 advantage. LMU's lone victory over the Lobos was a 1-0 final in Albuquerque in 2007. UNM won the most recent meeting, 2-0 in 2011.
ABOUT THE LOBOS
New Mexico enters the week with a 1-1-1 overall record which included a 1-0 setback at then No. 1 UCLA, a 2-2 draw with then No. 19 San Diego and a 2-1 upset of the No. 13 UC Santa Barbara. The Lobos are ranked No. 21 in the latest TopDrawerSoccer.com Top 25. Chris Wehan has scored all four UNM goals thus far while four different players have contributed an assist. In goal, Jason Beaulieu has 14 saves and a 1.24 GAA.
