LOS ANGELES - The 19-match 2015 LMU men's soccer schedule has been released, featuring seven home contests, trips to Boston, Albuquerque and Pennsylvania and four 2014 NCAA Tournament qualifiers.

The Lions begin the year with an exhibition match at CSUN on August 22 before their official opener on August 28 against San Jose State under the lights at Sullivan Field. The opening-weekend home stand continues on August 30 against UNLV, the first of four 2015 opponents who reached last year's NCAA Tournament.

A cross country trip takes LMU to Harvard (Sept. 4) and Boston College (Sept. 6). The three-match road swing concludes at Bakersfield (Sept. 11) before a brief stint back home, hosting New Mexico on Sept. 13.

The Lions go quickly back out on the road, facing American (Sept. 18) and Missouri State (Sept. 20) in Albuquerque, N.M., as part of the TLC Heating and Plumbing Invitational, hosted by New Mexico. Another three-match road trip concludes back in California, this time at UC Irvine on Sept. 25. The Anteaters, whom the Lions fell to 3-2 in double-overtime last fall, advanced to the third round of the 2014 NCAA Tournament.

A Sept. 27 home tilt against Cal Poly marks the final contest prior to the opening of West Coast Conference play at 2014 league champion San Diego on Oct. 10. The second year of single-round league play sees LMU host Gonzaga (Oct. 16), Portland (Oct. 18) and Santa Clara (Nov. 8) on Sullivan Field. Road league matches include the Torerors, Saint Mary's (Oct. 30), Pacific (Nov. 1) and San Francisco (Nov. 14).

LMU will also take a brief break from WCC action for a trip to State College, Pa., on Oct. 21 for a match-up against Penn State, which advanced to the 2014 NCAA Tournament second round.

Under the direction of 18th-year Head Coach Paul Krumpe, the Lions will be led by six seniors and five juniors in 2015, including the return of redshirt senior John McFarlin, who missed all but one game of 2014 due to a leg injury. The 2014 Lions went 9-4-6 overall, matching the all-time program record for shutouts and fewest losses.
