IRVINE, Calif. - The 20th-ranked LMU women's water polo team earned a 10-8 win over No. 16 UC San Diego to lift them to an opening day split at the 2015 UC Irvine Invitational at Corona del Mar High School Saturday.
The Lions opened the tournament with a 12-3 setback to No. 2 UCLA and then rebounded with a big early lead against the Tritons, and never looked back to improve to 8-4 on the season.
Jordan White had 18 saves in the two games to lead the Lions.
