LMU sand volleyball, tabbed #5 by Dig Beach Volleyball Magazine, will enter the 2015 sand season as the sixth-ranked team according to the AVCA. The Lions trail only reigning national champion Pepperdine, USC, Florida State, Hawaii and Long Beach State.
LMU finished 10-9 in head-to-head competition in 2014, as the Lions' top pair in Betsi Metter and Litara Keil reached the Final Four and earned All-American honors.
The Lions will begin the 2015 season on March 6 when they travel to Hawaii to play against #4 Hawaii and #1 Pepperdine. The AVCA Collegiate Sand Volleyball National Championships will be held May 1-3 in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
