UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Taking a break from West Coast Conference action this week, the LMU men's soccer team traveled cross country for a match at Penn State Wednesday, falling 3-0 to the Nittany Lions.
The Lions drop to 7-7-0 on the season while Penn State improves to 6-6-2 overall.
LMU earned a 13-10 shot advantage in the match, but Nittany Lion goalkeeper Evan Finney made five saves for his first win of the year.
Penn State got a pair of goals in the first half and added a third in the 74th minute as LMU goalkeeper Vince Paldino fell to 0-3 on the year.
Alvaro Madrigal led the Lions with four shots, including two on frame, while Cruz Corral had three shot attempts.
The Lions return to WCC action on Oct. 30 at Saint Mary's.
