LOS ANGELES - Junior Liam Jennis scored nine goals and senior goalie Kirk Wilenius added 26 saves to lift 18th-ranked LMU to a pair of wins on the final day of the 2015 KAP7 SoCal Invitational on Sunday at the Burns Aquatics Center.
The Lions (5-10) defeated Pomona-Pitzer, 11-8, and Concordia, 10-4, to earn the sweep in the final day of action. Jennis scored the Lions' final four goals to finish with five against the Sagehens and then added four against Concordia. Wilenius had 14 saves against the Eagles.
LMU will resume play within the Western Water Polo Association when they travel to Air Force on Friday, Oct. 16 at 6 pm.
