SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- LMU senior Godwin Okonji enters the week having played 114 games, ninth most in LMU history. And with that experience he has learned that a college basketball season is a journey and after last week's home stand, the Lions head on the road looking to take the next step in growth.
Okonji, who is second in the West Coast Conference in offensive rebounds and near three per game, leads the Lions into a Thursday showdown with Santa Clara. The LMU Sports Network caught up with the senior to talk about how the Lions can build on the win over Portland, what its like to battle with the best bigs in the WCC and how the team can continue to grow under head coach Mike Dunlap.
