LOS ANGELES - A season-opening, four-match road swing concludes this week as the LMU men's soccer team travels to face UC Davis on Friday, Sept. 5 and Sacramento State on Sunday, Sept. 7.
The Lions went 0-1-1 over their opening weekend in Durham, N.C., as part of the John Rennie/Nike Invitational. LMU earned a 1-1 draw against the host Blue Devils before dropping a 1-0 decision to Elon.
The Aggies enter the week at 1-0-1, after opening the season with a scoreless draw at Ohio State before earning a 2-1 victory over Canisius. Both games were part of the 90th Annual Bart & Iris Wolstein Classic in Columbus, Ohio.
Sacramento State dropped a 3-0 decision at Temple in their lone match of the season's opening week. The Hornets will host LMU's fellow West Coast Conference opponent San Diego on Friday before facing the Lions on Sunday.

SERIES HISTORY VS UC DAVIS
The Lions and Aggies have met just twice in program history. The first meeting, in 1994, resulted in a 1-0 overtime victory for LMU. The teams would not meet again for nearly two decades. Just last fall, in a match at Sullivan Field, the sides played to a 1-1 double-overtime draw. Sebastian De Rada scored for LMU in the tie.
SERIES HISTORY VS SACRAMENTO STATE
Sacramento State holds an 8-3-1 edge over the Lions in the all-time series. But the Lions claimed victory in the most recent result - a 4-0 final on Sullivan Field in 2013. Sebastian De Rada scored twice in the match while Adrien Perez and Mark Dotseth also each added a goal.
