LOS ANGELES - LMU men's soccer makes its official 2014 Sullivan Field debut on Sunday, Sept. 14, hosting Colgate in a 1 p.m. tilt.
The Lions bring a 1-1-2 record into the week, picking up the season's first win last Sunday with a 3-0 shutout of Sacramento State. LMU's early-season record also includes draws with Duke and UC Davis, and a 1-0 setback to Elon.
Griffin Bell and Grant Sampson each scored their first goal in a Lion kit against the Hornets while Sebastian De Rada added the third goal in the LMU victory.
Colgate enters the week at 1-1-1 overall and will face UC Santa Barbara on Friday night before taking on LMU on Sunday. The Raiders opened the 2014 season with a 1-0 double overtime win over LMU's fellow WCC member, Saint Mary's.

FUN AT THE FIELD
Sunday's men's and women's LMU soccer doubleheader will feature a number of activities and promotions for LMU students and the community.
• Members of the Westchester AYSO Region 7 will be in attendance, participating in pregame introductions, halftime scrimmages and a post game autograph session with the LMU soccer teams.
• Sodexo will host an Ice Cream Sundae Bar between games, offering FREE ice cream to all LMU students in attendance.
• ASLMU will be giving away Fallapalooza tank tops to LMU students.
• • "Fear the Lions" t-shirt giveaway for First Year LMU students.
LION NOTES
• Craig Nitti and Adrien Perez were named to the 11-member John Rennie/Nike Invitational All-Tournament Team
• Adrien Perez scored his 13th career goal at UC Davis (Sept. 5) putting him in a three-way tie for 9th in the LMU career goals record book
• John McFarlin needs three assists to tie and four to break, the LMU career record of 21, held by Arturo Torres (1999-02)
• Senior defender Craig Nitti was named to the 2014 MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List
• LMU was the preseason pick to repeat as West Coast Conference Champions, earning six first place votes
• Five Lions were named to the 11-member All-WCC Preseason Team including Craig Nitti, John McFarlin, Adrien Perez, Paul Blanchette and Sebastian De Rada
• Craig Nitt and Adrien Perez were named to TopDrawerSoccer.com's College Soccer Preseason Top 100 Players list
SERIES HISTORY VS COLGATE
LMU and Colgate met for the first time in program history last fall, a 2-1 victory for LMU in New York. Trailing 1-0, John McFarlin and Dylan Seedman each scored in the final two minutes of play to give the Lions the come-from-behind victory.
