Gonzaga University has been selected to win the 2014 West Coast Conference women's rowing championship in a preseason poll of the WCC's seven head coaches. The defending WCC Champion Bulldogs earned 35 points and five first place votes, while 2012 WCC Champion University of San Diego followed closely behind with 27 points and two first place votes for the second place spot.
LMU collected 24 points for third place in the preseason poll, while Saint Mary's College was just two points behind with 22. Portland (17 points), Creighton University (10 points), and Santa Clara University (7 points) rounded out the poll.
All seven WCC rowing teams are represented on the preseason All-West Coast Conference team, led by Gonzaga with four selections, San Diego with three, and the remaining five schools with two apiece. LMU's Jessica Kegel and Janayna Sobrosa were honored for the Lions.
