LOS ANGELES -- As the campus empties of its student body for the Thanksgiving break, the LMU basketball programs gear-up for a full week of holiday basketball, a week the fans can take advantage of during their Thanksgiving week. It all begins with the annual free men's basketball game against UC Riverside the night before Thanksgiving.

The fourth annual LMU Holiday Classic highlights a full week of basketball as the Lions host UC Riverside on Wednesday, Nov. 26 at 5 pm. The game is free and offers the traditional $1 hotdog thanks to Sodexo. With the special tip-off time, the entire family can come and enjoy LMU basketball. Special promotions and activities will be part of the game to get the entire family involved.

And that is just the beginning.

For the 17th year women's basketball will host the DoubleTree LA Westside Thanksgiving Classic on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 28-29. The action begins on Friday with UC Irvine taking Bowling Green at 1 pm, followed by the Lions taking on UAB at 3:30. The action concludes with the consolation and championship at the same game times on Saturday.

That Saturday will be a triple header of basketball as the men's basketball team will conclude the holiday week with a showdown with highly-regarded UC Irvine at 8 pm.

The week actually begins on Tuesday with women's volleyball taking on 12th-ranked BYU in the season finale. Come celebrate senior day as the Lions look to make the NCAA Tournament as the season comes to a close. The game against the Cougars is free and starts at 7 pm.
