LOS ANGELES -- Playing their possibly their best first half of the season, 16th-ranked LMU couldn't keep the pace with second-ranked USC Trojans, falling 19-7 at the Burns Aquatics Center on Thursday afternoon.
The Trojans six straight goals in the second half after LMU's Matt Cuozzo scored with just four seconds to play in the first half to make it 11-6. USC wold go on to an 8-1 second half to improve to 17-3 on the season. The Lions fall to 5-13.
Milutin Mitrovic led the Lions with three goals, scoring LMU's first three of the game. Cuozzo, Vuk Cvetkovic, Kyle Etrata and Emanuel Di Stasio scored the other four goals. Kostas Genidounias scored four to lead all scorers.
The Lions wrap-up a three-game home stand on Saturday with their 11th top-10 opponent of the season when they host No. 6 UC San Diego on Saturday, April 25 at 1 pm.
