LOS ANGELES - It was a busy summer for LMU men's soccer junior co-captains John McFarlin and Craig Nitti. Following a team trip to Costa Rica in May, the pair headed to the Great Northwest for the remainder of the summer, competing for the Portland Timbers U23 squad, which competes in the Premier Development League.
Four total Lions were members of the Timbers this summer, as McFarlin and Nitti were joined by Jack McCracken and Paul Blanchette. After helping the Timbers reach the PDL Western Conference Finals, the four Lions have returned back to Los Angeles, preparing for their upcoming collegiate season.
Lions' All-Access had a chance to sit down with McFarlin and Nitti and chat with them about their summer and the upcoming season.
