LOS ANGELES - Milutin Mitrovic scored with 36 seconds remaining to break a 12-12 tie and propel the LMU men's water polo team to a 13-12 win over No. 20 Cal Baptist in Western Water Polo Association action Saturday at the Burns Aquatics Center.

The Lions (13-13, 2-3 WWPA) trailed 11-9 with six minute remaining in the match before back-to-back goals by Mitrovic knotted the score at 11-11 at the 3:54 mark. The Lancers (14-14, 0-5 WWPA) responded in the form of a Cameron Custance goal. But Mitrovic would tie the score for a final time, 12-12, with 1:47 to play and then power home the go-ahead goal at the 0:36 mark.

Cal Baptist had one final possession and shot opportunity, but Kirk Wilenius came up with a big block save to preserve the victory.

Mitrovic paced LMU with five goals while Seth Coldren had three and Emanuel Di Stasio had two. Wilenius finished with 11 saves in net for the Lions.

LMU closes out the regular season on Thursday, Nov. 14, hosting Long Beach State in a 3 p.m. tilt at the Burns Aquatic Center.
