MORAGA, Calif. - For the second time this season, a match between the LMU men's soccer team and Saint Mary's went into extra time. For the second time this season, the Lions were victorious. Ryan Felix headed home the golden goal game-winner with two seconds remaining in the first 10-minute overtime period and the Lions earned a huge three points in the West Coast Conference standings with a 1-0 win in Moraga Friday.

With it's fourth straight win, LMU improves to 9-3-2 overall and 5-1-1 in WCC play. The Gaels drop to 4-7-4 overall and 2-3-2 in the WCC.

Exactly two weeks ago, the two teams squared off at LMU's Sullivan Field with John McFarlin heading in the overtime game-winner for a 2-1 victory. On Friday, McFarlin provided his league-leading ninth assist of the year, as his free kick found Felix's head for the junior defender's second goal of the season.

The Lions dominated play throughout with a 20-8 shot advantage. The Gaels' goalkeeper Andre Rawles, who turned away 11 LMU shots in the teams' first meeting, again was strong with eight saves on Friday. LMU goalkeeper Paul Blanchette faced just one shot on goal as he collected his fifth shutout of the year.

LMU continues its two-game road swing Sunday, facing San Francisco at 3 p.m.
