LOS ANGELES - LMU Men's Basketball Head Coach Max Good was exactly where he wants to be. On the sideline coaching, instructing and maybe even doing a little yelling. But following the Lions' annual post-Madness scrimmage, he couldn't help be a little excited.
"I really like this team," said Good, who begins his sixth season with the Lions. "We have a lot of work to do, but I was impressed how we didn't stop pushing the entire scrimmage. In fact I thought our final 15 minutes were better than our first 20."
The Lions played a pair of halves with official from the West Coast Conference. The first half was the standard 20 minutes. The second half was 15 minutes. Following the game, the WCC officials reviewed important rule changes and points of emphasis for the upcoming season.
The LMU Sports Network was there and had a chance to get a sneak peak of the Lions and talk to Coach Good following the scrimmage.
LMU begins the season with its lone exhibition game on Saturday, Nov. 2 taking on Cal Lutheran at 7:30 pm. Season tickets are on sale now by calling the LMU ticket office at (310) 338-LION (5466). All tickets, including special season ticket packages and individual game tickets will go on sale Tuesday through the new LMU online ticket system.
