INSIDE THE LIONS
The Lions opened WCC play last week, earning a 2-2 come from behind draw at San Diego before coming home to Sullivan Field where they topped Santa Clara, 4-0 ... Juan De Rada (4g, 3a), John McFarlin (1g, 8a) and Adrien Perez (4g, 1a) rank 2-3-4 in the WCC for total points ... De Rada and Perez are tied for second in goals (4) and McFarlin stands atop the assist leader board (8) with double the total of the two players in second ... McFarlin also ranks second nationally in both total assists and assists per game ... the Lions have really spread the wealth as eight different players have scored at least once through seven games.

INSIDE THE MATCH-UP: Gonzaga
Gonzaga sits at 5-2-2 overall ... the Zags briefly broke into the national rankings, but dropped out after opening WCC play with a pair of ties on the road last week ... Clark Phillips leads the squad with three goals while Nick Hamer has three assists ... the Lions are 15-14-1 since 1992 against Gonzaga ... LMU has won six of the last seven, including sweeping the home-and-home series last fall ...
