LOS ANGELES -- LMU sophomore Alexandra Honny led the Lions to a fourth place finish at the loaded UC San Diego Triton Invitational last weekend, helping the Lions move to 10th in this week's national rankings and earning KAP7 WWPA Player of the Week honors for Feb. 15.

Honny tallied 10 goals on just 20 attempts, adding three assists, five kickouts drawn and 10 steals. In the Lions' 7-5 win over No. 6 Arizona State, she scored four goals with a steal. She added four more goals in the tough one-goal setbacks to No. 5 Arizona State and No. 9 San Diego State. She started the tournament with two goals, two assists, two steals and two kickouts drawn in the WWPA win over Cal State East Bay.

The Lions, who are 4-4 on the season with all four setbacks coming to the nation's top-eight teams, will continue its tough early season schedule with No. 7 UC Irvine on Saturday, Feb. 18. The game is the Lions' home opener at Burns Aquatics Center and it begins at 11 a.m.
