Anderson Named to 2011 US National Team

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Warren Anderson, a 2006 graduate of the LMU rowing team, was selected to the 2011 US National Team, it was announced earlier this week. Twenty-six crews will represent the United States at the 2011 World Rowing Championships scheduled for August 28-September 4 in Bled, Slovenia. Anderson, who is competing on his fifth US National Team, was selected for the Men's Quad. Anderson and his boat mates are looking to qualify for the 2012 London Olympics.

Anderson, who was named an alternate for the 2008 United States Olympic Rowing team, starred for the Lions from 2003-06. He previously rowed for the US National Team at the 2007 Pan American Games, where he brought home a bronze medal as a member of the quadruple sculls boat. While at LMU, Anderson won the collegiate title at the 2006 C.R.A.S.H.-B. Sprints World Indoor Rowing Championships in Boston, MA.
