LOS ANGELES - LMU softball will have new equipment for the 2011 season courtesy of an exclusive partnership signed with Anderson Bat Company, Head Coach Gary Ferrin announced on Thursday. As part of the deal, the company will supply the Lions with bats, bat bags, and other hitting equipment.

"The LMU Lions are fortunate to team with Anderson. I feel their equipment is easily the very best in the industry," Ferrin said. "The players are excited to get out and start using their bats."

LMU players had the opportunity to test out the bats during the fall season in preparation for the spring schedule. The Lions open the 2011 season at the Long Beach State Round Robin Tournament February 12-13.
