LOS ANGELES, Calif. - As the 2012 season approaches, we here at LMULions.com would like to introduce you to some of the new baseball players who are entering their first season with the Lions. We have asked all the newcomers a series of questions that range from why they chose LMU to what we would find in their refrigerator at this very moment. This week's question and answer session will feature freshman infielder, David Edwards.

LMULions.com: What did you do this summer?
David Edwards: I played baseball.

LMU: Why did you choose LMU?
DE: I chose LMU for its academic studies and baseball.

LMU: Do you have a nickname? Explain the meaning behind it.
DE: Eddy because of my last name.

LMU: What is your greatest highlight on the field?
DE: Hitting a grand slam on Stanford's Sunken Diamond baseball field.

LMU: After LMU, what do you want to do?
DE: I plan on being drafted into the MLB and working my way up to the Pros. If that doesn't work out, I might start up a business of some sort.

LMU: Who is the funniest guy on the team?
DE: Nick Devian.

LMU: What is your favorite baseball team?
DE: Red Sox, Baby!

LMU: What is the early favorite for your walk-up song?
DE: Snap Back Swag by AJ Hernz.

LMU: What is your favorite movie?
DE: The Notebook...

LMU: What is your favorite book?
DE: Wizard's First Rule by Terry Goodkind.

LMU: If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
DE: Invisibility because it's cool.

LMU: If I take a look inside your refrigerator, what would I find?
DE: Leche.

LMU: What is your motto or advice you live by?
DE: You only live once.

LMU: Name at least one television show that you watch every week.
DE: I don't have cable.

LMU: What is your most prized possession?
DE: My bat since it hits bombs.

LMU: Who is your biggest influence in life?
DE: My family.
