Nine More Games Added to TV Slate

SAN BRUNO, Calif. - The West Coast Conference announced its 2011-12 conference men's basketball television schedule on Tuesday and with it, LMU men's basketball will have 10 of its' 14 WCC contests televised in 2012. Overall, nearly 80 percent (57 of 72) of the new-look WCC slate will be televised on a national, regional or local level.

Leading the way is the national partnership with the ESPN family networks, which will televise 17 of those games. The Lions game at Pepperdine on Jan. 12 is part of that package and will be aired on ESPNU with a tip-off set for 7 p.m.

The remainder of the games will be aired in the markets of both competing teams through conference and school partnerships with Comcast, Fox, Cox, ROOT Sports and BYUtv. All games from LMU's Gersten Pavilion will also be streamed on LMULions.com through Lions' All-Access live in games not televised or in the markets not carried by the television partner.

The West Coast Conference is partnering this season with Comcast California/Bay Area/Northwest, Fox Sports West/Prime Ticket, BYUtv and Channel 4 San Diego to create a 26-game regional syndication package. Most games will be broadcast live in the markets of both participating teams, including seven of the top 55 markets in the nation: Los Angeles, San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento, Portland, Salt Lake City,

The broadcast schedule continues to add to the Lions' already full slate of activities in celebration of LMU's Centennial. The 2012 Centennial Homecoming game against Portland will be live on Fox West on Jan. 28, while the annual Wells Fargo PCH Cup Rematch with Pepperdine will be on Fox Prime Ticket at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 2.

Feb. 25 vs. Santa Clara - 8 p.m. - Fox West/Comcast Bay Area

This is in addition to the Lions' hosting an ESPN BracketBuster game on the weekend of Feb. 17-19 as part of the 2012 Centennial Family Weekend. The game could be one of eight broadcasts on ESPN.

The 2011-12 Centennial celebration continues on Tuesday, Dec. 27 when the Lions return home for the final non-conference game of the season against Vanguard. The game is a Holiday Thank You to all fans, and is free to ALL. Sodexo is sponsoring the evening and is offering $1 hotdogs. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
