LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- The seventh-ranked LMU women's water polo team honored their four graduating seniors playing in their final home game with a 14-4 win over Pomona-Pitzer at the Burns Aquatics Center on Sunday afternoon. The Lions improve to 24-4 on the season and finish the year 10-1 at home.
Seniors Anne Scott, Carrie Kosnik, Eliana Arellano and Meghan Moore all contributed in the win as 11 Lions finished the game with a goal. Scott, Kosnik and Moore all scored while Arellano made eight saves while allowing just the four goals in the win.
The Lions held a 14-1 lead after three quarters, scoring 13 unanswered after the game was tied at 1-1.
It was the final regular season game for the Lions who will play in the 2010 Western Water Polo Association Championships at Cal State Bakersfield April 30 - May 2.
