The event, which will run through Monday, March 8, includes a full slate of events throughout the weekend.

The LMU men's team finished the regular season with one of the best turn-arounds in all of college basketball in 2010, going 16-14 overall and 7-7 in conference play. They finished tied for fourth but will be the fifth seed in the tournament thanks to falling twice to San Francisco, who earned the No.4 seed.

They will open the tournament on Friday against rival Pepperdine at 6 p.m. in the first of two first round games. Sixth-seeded San Diego will take on seventh-seeded Santa Clara in the second first round game at roughly 8:30 p.m. Waiting for the winners will be third-seeded Portland (who will play the winner of USD-SCU) and fourth-seeded USF, who LMU or Pepperdine will play.

On the women's side, the Lions finished the season 12-16 overall and in sixth place in the WCC at 5-9. They are the six seed and will play No. 7 seed San Francisco at roughly 2:30 p.m. on Friday, March 5 in the second first round match-up. The events on Saturday will conclude with the quarterfinal games, starting with the women at 12 and 2:30, followed by the men at 6 and 8:30 p.m.
