LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- LMU women's water polo fell to second-ranked USC on the road Saturday, 9-2, in non-conference action in Los Angeles, Calif. It was much closer than the scorer as the Lions led 1-0 after one and trailed by just one at the break, 3-2.
LMU goalie Kristine Cato, a transfer from USC, made 17 saves. However, the Lions offense could not answer in the second half as they were shutout as USC pulled away late.
Erin Manke and Daisy Carrillo each scored for the Lions.
LMU will play their home opener on Parents' Weekend, Saturday, Feb. 20, when they host conference rival UC San Diego at noon. It is the start of a full day of events for Parents' Weekend.
