1989-90 Men's Basketball on LMULions.com

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- All season long, LMU has been celebrating and honoring the 20th Anniversary of the 1989-90 LMU men's basketball team and its historic season. As the 2009-10 college basketball season reaches its peak with West Coast Conference action, so too will the celebration for the 1989-90 Lions. It will reach its height with Homecoming 2010 as the Lions will honor that team the weekend of January 29.

Most of the members from the 1989-90 Lions, who reached the NCAA Tournament's Elite Eight and captured the heart of the nation with its emotional run, will be on campus for Homecoming 2010 on Jan. 30, 2010 when the Lions take on Saint Mary's in WCC action at 7 p.m.

The LMU Alumni Association and LMU Athletics invites all fans to all the activities during Homecoming 2010. Fans can join members of the 1989-90 team for the pregame tailgate, Homecoming Basketball game, and 1989-90 special halftime.

Tailgating on Hannon Field is from 5 to 7 p.m., and members of the team will be at the athletics' tent throughout the pregame festivities. Bring out your grills and coolers and get ready for the game and join the team. You can also purchase food and water/soda at the venue. Must be 21 or over to consume alcoholic beverages.

During halftime of the contest, the 1989-90 Lions will be honored at halftime of game that will be aired live on FSN West.
