Lions on the Holidays

Dec. 24, 2009

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- The non-conference portion of the 2009-10 season is coming to a close for the LMU men's and women's basketball programs during the holiday season, and no matter where fans may be for the holidays, they can make the Lions part of it through LMULions.com.

The teams will play five games during the holiday season as they conclude non-conference play and head into West Coast Conference action on Jan. 9 with a doubleheader against Pepperdine.

Men's basketball will get the action started after roughly a week off for Christmas as they travel to Sacramento State on Dec. 27. Game time is 1 p.m. The women will stay local and will head to UCLA to take on the Bruins on Monday, Dec. 28 at 7 p.m.

Both will return home for the final Holiday Doubleheader as the teams will take on Seattle on Wednesday, Dec. 30. The women will start the action at 5 p.m., the men will follow at 7:30 p.m.

Special holiday pricing is available for the final Holiday Doubleheader at Gersten Pavilion. Fans can come watch both games for one low price. Crimson chairbacks will be $15 and upper level seating will be $10 ($5 for child/seniors) and includes both games. That's $5 off the original price for men's basketball and up to a $15 savings for both games.

The men will finish things up when they head north to take on Cal State Bakersfield on Jan. 3 at 3 p.m.
