Los Angeles, CA -- UC Santa Cruz took home 11th place with a 10-6 win over Chapman in the final day of the 2008 WWPA Women's Water Polo Championship hosted by Loyola Marymount at the Burns Recreation and Aquatics Center.
UC Santa Cruz went on a 8-1 run after the first quarter to pull away to take 11th. They finish the season 13-20 while Chapman is 10-19. Chapman was led by Jennifer Manship with five goals, giving her nine on the tournament. Jaisy Hanson had three goals along with a pair from both Nila Ward and Molly Chadwick.
