Keara Reilly

Keara Reilly

Keara Reilly joined LMU’s Athletic Academic Advising team in September 2024. She currently supports the academic success of student-athletes on the men’s golf, women’s water polo, women’s tennis, and men’s tennis teams.

In addition to her advising responsibilities, Keara serves as the advisor for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), co-teaches an EDLP 1045 with Matt Casana, and contributes to the planning and execution of academic events and initiatives alongside the advising team.

An LMU Lion through and through, Keara earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Loyola Marymount University in 2019. A former student-athlete Lion herself, she was a member of the LMU women’s swim team and an active participant in SAAC, making her current role as SAAC advisor a full-circle moment. Fun fact: Matt Casana, her now-colleague, was her academic advisor during her time as a student-athlete.

Keara completed her Master of Education in Educational Counseling at the University of Southern California in May 2025. Before returning to LMU and starting graduate school, she worked at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles as a Program Administrator, where she organized a high school internship program. That experience sparked her passion for working with students and supporting them in their educational journeys.

Outside of work, Keara enjoys walking her dog Lilo, reciting old SpongeBob SquarePants references, and catching up with her family on the phone—sometimes all at once.
