At LMU...2017...played in all 30 games...led the team with her 67 goals, including 21 in conference which led the GCC...led the team with her 51 steals...added 27 assists for third highest on the team...and led the team with a total of 94 points on the season... shot a team high .472 shooting percentage...her 2017 stats ranked in the conference's top seven in goals, points, steals, and sprint winning percentage...All-GCC Second Team...2016... played all 33 games as a junior... scored 28 goals with 17 assists, led team with 55 steals... had three goals to open season against Concordia (1/30/16)and had three more against UCSB (2/28/16) and three more against Azusa Pacific (4/9/16)... had four steals against San Jose State (2/6/16), Bucknell (3/6/16) and Santa Clara (4/29/16)...2015... played all 33 games, scoring nine goals... had 17 assists and 38 steals... 2014... played in five games, scoring three goals on seven shots... added two assists, three steals and four field blocks... scored against Pomona-Pitzer (3/22/14), Azusa Pacific (4/12/14) and Chapman (4/12/14)...

High School... graduated from San Benito High School with a 4.3 GPA in 2013... a four-time all-conference selection and has been named USA Water Polo Academic All-American as a sophomore and junior... a three-time All-CIF Division I selection... scored 485 goals with 213 assists and 413 steals in her career... an ODP National Selection Camp in 2012... was in Sports Illustrated Dec. 3, 2012 issue for "Faces in the Crowd." She also plays for the San Jose Water Polo Club.... also swam four years in high school, earning first-team All-League in the 50-free in 2011, 2012 and 2013... was first-team All-League in the 100-free in 2013.

Personal... Caitlin Jeanne Schafer was born in San Jose, Calif., and is the daughter of Christine and John Schafer... mother swam at Central Washington and father rowed at Grand Valley State... has three brothers... a Biology major.
