First season as Assistant Coach for LMU's Women's Tennis.
Becca Weissmann recently served as an Assistant Coach for the Pomona-Pitzer Women’s Tennis team. Weissmann is no stranger to LMU Women’s Tennis Program. In fact, she was an outstanding member of their 2020-2021 roster. She not only earned 2021 ITA Scholar-Athlete honors, but was also recognized as a member of LMU’s 4.0 club.
Prior to her career at LMU, Weissmann played at USC, where she served as the team captain and played No. 2 position in doubles and various positions between No. 2 and No. 6 in singles. In 2019 Weissmann received the USC Trojan Spirit Award for embodying the qualities of passion, family, and sportsmanship.
By the end of her senior year, she earned ITA Scholar-Athlete Honors and was selected to the Pac-12 All-Academic First Team and USC’s ITA All-Academic Team. She also severed as the Women’s Tennis Representative on the Trojan Athletic Senate and a Student Ambassador on the Health and Wellness Committee.
Weissmann had injuries that affected her senior year at USC, however, she was still able to receive an amazing award. Weissmann was recognized as the 2020 Southwest Regional Winner of the ITA Cissie Leary Sportsmanship Award.
In high school, Weissmann was ranked as the No.1 player in the state of Colorado and peaked in rankings as 12th in the nation. She was a five-star blue chip recruit according to TennisRecruiting.net, won the Colorado 5A state singles title in 2013 as a freshman and began her high school tennis career with a 34-0 record.
