Biography

Prior to LMU: Weissman transferred to LMU from USC. 

2018-19 SEASON: Becca Weissmann finished her junior season 12-11 in singles and 6-9 in dual matches…Selected to the Pac-12 All-Academic First Team…Named an ITA Scholar-Athlete…Was a captain of the 2018-19 squad…Played from a variety of positions in dual matches: No 2. (1-0), No. 3 (1-2), No. 4 (3-2), No. 5 (1-4) and No. 6 (0-1)…Clinched two matches for the Women of Troy against UC Santa Barbara and Hawai’i…In doubles, went 16-13 overall and 10-12 in dual matches…Primarily played with partner Danielle Willson (12-9) from the No. 2 position…Also paired with Constance Branstine (3-3), Salma Ewing (0-1) and Estella Jaeger (1-0)…In the fall, competed at the Battle in the Bay, The ITA All-American Championships, the Women of Troy Invitational and the ITA Southwest Regionals. 

2017-18 SEASON: Weissmann concluded her sophomore season 18-8 in singles and 9-6 in dual matches... Named an ITA Scholar Athlete and was a member of USC’s ITA All-Academic Team…Played primarily in the No. 2 position (6-4)...Also played at the No. 3 position (3-2)...Had three clinching wins: San Diego and Loyola Marymount in January and Fresno State in February...In doubles, went 8-7 with partner Gabby Smith...Played at the No. 2 position...Also paired with Angela Kulikov (5-1) and Sydney Van Alphen (3-2)...In the Fall, Weissmann competed in the ITA Southwest Regionals and Roberta Alison Fall Classic...Won her match in the USC-UGA Challenge...Won the Battle of the Bay Finals at USC.

LSU: Weissmann competed her freshman season as a member of the LSU women’s tennis team…Member of LSU’s 2016 class, the No. 1 recruiting class in the nation that year…Played primarily in the No. 5 singles position and No. 2 in doubles…Named All-Academic Scholar-Athlete.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Weissmann was ranked as the No. 1 player in the state of Colorado and as high as 12th in the nation…Was a five-star blue chip recruit according to TennisRecruiting.net…Won the Colorado 5A state singles title in 2013 as a freshman…Began her high school tennis career with a 34-0 record…Was the U18 Girls Championship winner at the 2013 Florida Open…Won the 2014 Eddie Herr International 16’s doubles tournament…Won the Gold Ball at the Alabama Team National Championships…Received the Sportsmanship Award at the 2013 Winter Nationals.
 
PERSONAL: Rebecca Joy Weissmann was born on October 4, 1997 in Loveland, Colo….Daughter of Jeff and Colleen Weissmann…Has three sisters, Jennifer, Kimberly and Anna, and three brothers, Ryan, Scott and Sam…Has always wanted to go skydiving…Enjoys watching Gossip Girl and This Is Us.
